Position Purpose

Provide specific technology operations support during assigned shift. Willingness to work in shifts, during off hours or on weekends. Follow all operational processes like incident and problem management to specific processes like hardware decommissioning and escalations. Strictly adhere to all Change Control processes and rules to prevent unexpected outages.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Administering IBM WebSphere environment – 3-tier architecture, installation, domain configuration, deployment, troubleshooting and maintenance activities Complete Hands on experience in latest websphere versions v8.x, v9.x and knowledge on older versions.

• Good experience in performance tuning, JVM, JMS, GC and other parameters settings etc.

• Proficient in patching, version upgradation and migrating middleware environment Good knowledge on digital platforms like containerization and cloud services Good knowledge on ITSM process and preferably ITIL certified.

• Complete hands on in SSL configuration, Webservers (Apache, iPlanet, IHS and IIS) Hands on experience in automation, Shell scripting, Python scripting etc.

• Good knowledge on JBOSS architecture and other middleware components like MQ, MB, integration platforms.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Maintain system high reliability, availability and fault tolerance.

• Respond quickly to raised incidents, provide break fix when required.

• Updating inventory and licensing information using ADDM tool

• Should be ready to work in 3 shifts (24 x7 as well) 6 Days working

Technical Behavioral Competencies

• Installing Middle-ware product like WebSphere Application Server , WebSphere MQ, Apache Tomcat, Apache Web-server, IHS, Jboss.

• Upgrading Middle-ware and Web-server products (Websphere, MQ, etc…)

• Doing Configuration changes in Middle-ware and Web-server level.

Deploying J2EE application back-end resources.

• Experience in Clustering Session replication/persistence.

• Troubleshooting Middle-ware and web-server issue.

• Analyzing App server webserver logs, thread dumps, verbose gc logs etc.

• Raising PMR with IBM Support and coordinating with them (If required)

• Graduate / Post Graduate or any other equivalent degree.

• 3 Years hands on technical experience on Middleware Administration.

• Working knowledge of WebSphere MQ.

• Working knowledge of supported operating systems (e.g., AIX, Solaris, Linux on Intel, Windows)

• Good understanding of messaging concepts as they relate to IBM WebSphere MQ

• Basic knowledge of operating WebSphere MQ Explorer

• Basic understanding of JMS concepts

• Good knowledge and understanding of Batch or PowerShell scripting

• Strong coordination and organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills and Multi-tasking capabilities.
