Job Overview

We are looking for a statistician and machine learning scientist to join our growing team of data scientists. The ideal candidate has 3-8 years working as a data scientist with strong experience applying various machine learning and statistical modeling approaches to solve impactful questions in an industry or research setting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and operationalize ML solutions to support business initiatives by using a wide array of machine learning and statistical techniques
• Run machine learning experiments to drive actionable business insights
• Work with complex and large data sets from disparate sources to engineer meaningful features, perform analyses and ensemble modeling data sets
• Support analytics around statistical and forecasting tasks such as A/B testing, DM campaigns, sales forecasts etc.
• Summarize and communicate relevant analysis findings to project stakeholders by creating clear reports and presentations
• Discuss and brainstorm new ways to improve model implementation and process automation
• Follow data science best practices including coding and documentation standards, project peer and code review, and ensure results reproducibility
• Collaborate with data science and analytics teams in US and India

Desired Qualifications:

• A Masters or B.S. diploma or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning/AI, Operations Research or related quantitative fields
• Strong SQL skills and experience with writing complex queries and working with databases
• Advanced programming skills in Python or R and excellent knowledge of commonly used machine learning, statistical and data visualization libraries
• Solid understanding of foundational statistical and machine learning approaches such as regression, ensemble learning, clustering, resampling and regularization methods.
• Experience transforming high dimensional data of different types to make it appropriate for analysis
• Ability to translate complex data science findings into insights and communicate them to others with different expertise
• Ability to translate business questions into ML problems and select appropriate solutions
• Intellectually curious, continuously learning and improving
• Experience using version control platforms such as Gitlab
• AWS cloud computing experience is a plus
• Experience with end-to-end ML lifecycle is a plus
