Roles and Responsibilities

Seismic Data Analyst:

A geoscience data management background with experience in managing seismic data in Petrel and OpenWorks.

• Sound knowledge on other G&G applications, ideally including OpenWorks, Petrel & Studio
• Troubleshooting the seismic data challenges like format corrections, scaling and clipping, etc.
• Requires knowledge on Seismic data (2D, 3D) micro seismic data (Pre-stack and Post-stack data in interpretation applications like Petrel, Studio and OpenWorks
• Sound knowledge on seismic interpretation data like faults, horizons etc.
• Requires knowledge on storage, format standardization and compression of seismic data
• Requires a strong technical background in seismic data loading and management using Petrel & Studio
• Requires strong technical skills to analyze data issues, resolve problems and integrate data between products/applications
• QC the loaded data and fix any errors or omissions
• Liaise with business unit customers
• Work with other data managers to resolve issues
• Experience interacting with internal customers and data specialists to collect and prioritize development requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and technical credibility in dealing with end-users and data product owners
