As part of our strategic partnership with one of the biggest financial institutions in the World, we are hiring various IT specialists, who will become part of their global teams . The bank is an international organization dedicated to providing financing, advice, and research to developing nations to aid their economic advancement. The bank predominantly acts as an organization that attempts to fight poverty by offering developmental assistance to middle- and low-income countries. Our client is a provider of financial and technical assistance to individual countries around the globe. The bank considers itself a unique financial institution that sets up partnerships to reduce poverty and support economic development.
Team specific information:
The objective of this project is to enhance the reporting capabilities for Client’s business areas, currently provided by the STAR system. The work would involve data modeling and building data visualizations using Power BI technology. The project will be delivered using Agile methodology.

Responsibilities

Client’s current financial platform is primarily built on SAP and other technologies with over 20 years of customization across client’s entities with highly complex business rules, integrations, and extensions. The existing reporting capabilities need to be modernized by leveraging industry leading business intelligence platforms and tools. The deliverables under this program would involve:
• Power BI development and administration.
• Building Analytical services and reporting models.
• Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
• Connecting to various data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
• Implementing data security by leveraging application security layer models in Power BI.
• Integrating Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation.

Skills

Must have

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Role Specific Experience: 5+ years of years of hands-on data modeling and visualization expertise in leading business intelligence tools.
• Extensive experience in various development methodology like Agile/Scrum development methodology
• Solid experience in Data/Web Services Technology
• Extensive experience in data modeling and visualization in Power BI
• Proficiency in writing DAX and Power Queries.
• Extensive experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Advanced understanding of data integration, data virtualization, data federation, and database design techniques
• Advanced knowledge of dimensional modeling, modeling for reporting applications, normalization techniques, forward-engineering, and reverse-engineering techniques
• Excellent communication, writing/documentation and facilitation skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure SQL, SQL data warehouse, PolyBase and Visual Studio will be a plus.
