Job Location: Hyderabad/Secunderabad
Minimum 5 years hands-on Power BI development experience using various data sources including Azure Analysis Services (AAS) Tabular Models
– Minimum 3 years hands-on experience writing DAX and an understanding of the difference between Power BI DAX and Azure Analysis Services (AAS) DAX
Minimum 3 years hands-on Azure Analysis Services (AAS) tabular model development experience, including the following :
– Publishing models to Azure
– Knowledge of a source control such as GIT or DEVOPS
– Use of partitions and perspectives
– Understanding of Power Query (basic knowledge)
– Basic understanding of TMSL (Tabular Model Scripting Language)
– Good understanding of data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) and experience working with data warehouses- specifically the Kimball methodology (star schemas)
– Good understanding of ETL and ELT processes
– Experience working within the MS Azure product suite, e.g. Azure Data Lake Gen 2, Azure SQL, Azure Analysis Services, Azure DevOps, etc.
– Minimum 3 years SQL experience
– Knowledge of Power BI datasets is advantageous
– Knowledge of TOM (tabular model object) is advantageous
– Excellent critical thinking and ability to analyse solution options
– Data-driven mindset – experience determining the best type of visualisation (e.g. chart) to convey the required message
– Good eye for visually appealing designs dashboards
