Job Location: Mumbai (All Areas)
As the Investment Data Analyst of the analytics capability you will be a core developer of the Analytics team who are tasked to transform the way our investment professionals get analytics serviced to them and how they apply this in their day-to-day decision making process.
Responsibilities:
- Confer with internal customers to gain understanding of needs.
- Generate and deliver insights to our investment professionals.
- Use Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas and graphing to streamline business processes.
- Develop test plans and software documentation to support new releases and code modifications.
- Assist other staff with development activities
- Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and established standards are in use
- Develop Azure/SQL Databases, including tables, queries, forms and reports, using standard
IT processes, with data normalization and referential integrity
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of applications programming experience in the Information Systems
industry, 3+ years work experience developing SQL databases; 5+ years using VBA
- Investment Management industry experience
- Advanced Excel skills (i.e. complex formulas)
- Able to debug/code difficult functions/macros using VBA
- Ability to normalize complex data/define referential integrity in SQL databases
- Ability to programmatically manipulate worksheet and cell properties using VBA
- Must possess problem solving skills and be proactive in researching solutions
Good to have:
- Visualisation skills like PowerBI, Spotfire etc. Youve an opportunity to learn on the job.
- Interest in Investment management and strong domain knowledge preferred. Investment
Management Certificate, or similar, is desirable but not essential.
