Responsibilities:
– Identifying and prioritizing business use cases: Work with business heads/product heads to identify and prioritize business problems which can be solved through data analytics. The individual should have knowledge of Business Loan Lending.
– Opportunities identification: Increase the pre-approved/pre-qualified base by mining internal bank customers. Optimise the funnel/waterfall.
– Building the analytics engine: Lead a team of business analytics, who have knowledge of SQL/SAS &/or R/Python and can draw insights from banking transactions and product usage.
– Experience of having built credit/propensity/classification models individually or jointly with the data science team. Parametrise lending rules.
– Guiding the data scientist: Liaise with data scientist to build predictive or classification models or advanced text mining solutions based on the problem statement
– Business Understanding and Stakeholder Management: Deep understanding of business loan segment and the lending practices. Drive implementation of analytics solutions jointly with business owners.
– Strong Analytical Skills: Expertise in using statistical tools SAS/R/Python. Ability to generate business insights from data
– Engagement with Alternate data/vendors: Ability to work with alternate data vendors to develop models for acquisition or data mining or exploring newer opportunities to identify alerts/triggers/early warning signals.
Education Background: M.Sc. (Stat)/M.Tech Data Science/MBA/ CA Specialization from Tier I or Tier II institutes. Relevant experience of atleast 8 -10 years in the lending space especially in the business loan segment.
