Job Description
1. 4+ years experience in MS Data Lake and Reporting stack on Power BI, ADF, Data Model and Data bricks. Should be a hands-on professional with thorough knowledge of scripting, data source integration and visual development in Power BI.
2. A deep understanding of data model, and ability to use and explain all aspects of, relational database design, multidimensional database design, OLTP, OLAP, KPIs, Scorecards, and Dashboards
3. Very good understanding of Data Modelling Techniques for Analytical Data (ie Facts, Dimensions, Measures)
4. Good understanding on the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation
5. Connect to multiple datasets to bring all the relevant data together in one place and create reports that provide a consolidated view of the different sources.
6. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
7. Takeover the technical code from vendor/existing team and can support the software for any new changes or requirements.
8. Review UI/UX aspects with designers and provide feedback and feasibility details.
9. Ability and passion to learn new technologies and concepts.
10. Strong analytical problem-solving, and conceptual skills
11. Strong in documentation and data catalog management
12. Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for existing applications.
13. Understands and follows project and software development methodologies and processes, including Scrum and agile experience
14. Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practice
15. Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
16. Manage modules and work assigned at their level smartly.
17. Ability and interest in learning new technologies and implement them for new requirements.
18. Ability to train business users on BI by creating simple datasets or reports using existing datasets
19. Knowledge of Finance/Sale/Service domains and heavy machinery industry is an added advantage.
20. Any exposure to SAP is a plus
Technical Skills Required
1. Power BI, Data Bricks, Python, SQL Scripting
2. Good experience in designing and creating mappings, workflows.
3. Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop
4. Very good knowledge of Data Warehouse/Data mart concepts and Expertise in data modeling for OLAP from design and analysis to implementation including the conceptual, logical, and physical data models
5. Experience with agile backlog tools like Zoho, Jira.
6. Experience and Knowledge in SQL Server and writing stored procedures
