Roles and Responsibilities
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction) Development and Production through different stages of VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) testing (Wafer/Die Array/Packaged Devices).
- Support existing and new products for test engineering that allow for scalable handoff to product testing.
- Develop test software related to test measurement systems for electrical test of laser diode, and VCSELs for new products.
- Develop advanced testing/automation methodologies based on Image processing and Machine Learning
- Work with a skilled team of hardware and software development engineers to develop test solutions to be deployed in a manufacturing environment.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand different requirements and provide software solution for debugging the problem at hand.
- Continuously improving and developing software for proprietary Finisar software test suite (mainly developed in C/C++, VB.Net, C#.Net, Python, MATLAB)
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelors or masters degree in engineering with 4 to 8 years of code development using C/C++, C#, .Net, Python, MATLAB, Perforce, Visual Studio is a must.
- 2+ years of experience in Image Processing is a must.
- Experience in Data Analysis is preferred
- Hands on experience in Hardware Interfacing, SDLC, Multi-threaded programming, Linux, and System Programming & Integration.
