Senior System Analyst / Module Leader, MS SQLDeveloper/Lead SQL developer

Job Description for SQL Developer:

Responsibilities:

Writing T-SQL Code – Stored Procedures, Triggers, SQL Functions, Views, CTE, Service Brokers, Queues etc. Debugging existing applications written in SQL, do bug fix, enhancement. Perform SQL DBA basic activities e.g. DB backup, restore, Replication, sql jobs. Part of job may require working on SSIS packages, creating reports in Power BI/SSRS/Tableau. Work with product designers/owners on design, planning & execution of projects. Collaborate with app architects/leads for data modelling. – Additional Work with business teams to understand the requirement and implement it.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Hands on T-SQL and working experience on RDBMS – Stored Procedures, Triggers, SQL Functions, Views, CTE, Service Brokers, Queues etc.
• Perform basic activities of DBA. (Backup, restore DB, create SQL Jobs).
• Must possess debugging skills, problem solving ability and can visualize the data flow from one layer to another.
• Have worked on SQL applications.
• Ability to query/visualize transactional and historical data to be able identify patterns.
• Query performance turning is a plus and reports development will be required.
• Experience with ETL tools like SSIS and analytics/visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau is a plus.
• Knowledge of capital markets or any financial services domain is a big plus.
• Knowledge of data modelling through entity relationship/ORM tools and data normalization are a plus.

Preferred qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA)
• 3+ years as T-SQL developer
• 0-3 years of DBA.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of team.
• Ability to work with minimum guidance.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in an ambiguous environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• 2+ years of data analyst role is a plus.
