Specifically, Senior Manager Data Visualization should have experience in

Solution Designing

• Understand the business needs of the client and accordingly design the most effective visualisation solution using technologies suitable to the end users (e.g. web, mobile, app and print)

• Make information easy to understand by designing and producing meaningful and effective data visualisations using relational and aggregate data sources

• Understand clients data complexity and basic data engineering concepts to extract data for analysis

• Create interactive visualisations to allow users to ask and answer questions

• Ability to build story for the solution offered and make charts / tables talk business

Project and Client Management

• Manage multiple projects of varying complexities, and ensure the best quality under the given timelines with minimal support

• Conduct sanity checks based on reasoning and experience to ensure that deliverables are client ready

• Be a part of deliverable discussions with clients over telephonic calls and engage with them as a thought partner for their BI challenges

• Manage team of about 4 analyst to work on client requirements

• Ability to come up with analytical construct from a business problem

Ideal Candidate

• 9-12 years of relevant experience of hands-on experience on various BI tools and technologies

• Experience in creating complex dashboards both static, interactive and real time visualisations that allow drill down ability and help the client take actions based on the insights provided

• Expert-level knowledge of data visualization and data mining using off-the-shelf BI tools Tableau, Spotfire and Power BI

• Understand the concept of data engineering and BI solutions

• Excel, SQL, Access and other databases to manipulate and create back-end data

• Experience in handling client calls and client management independently

• Experience of managing projects independently, along with handling project teams

• Exposure to data mining and predictive analytics will be an added advantage

• Automation and reporting/dashboard concepts

Other Skills

• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

• Knowledge of other visualization tools like Tableau, Spotfire, D3, Domo, ggplot, Shiny apps is added advantage

• Development of interactive dashboards or other visualization, HTML5, CSS and D3, JavaScript and JavaScript libraries, including extJS, jQuery, AngularJS, Ggplot and Shiny apps

• Exposure to cloud-based environment to develop and deploy various dashboards and visualizations

• Knowledge of big data architecture concepts (HDFS, Map reduce, etc.)
